Seek Purity-Jack Blake

Tuesday, May 14, 2024

Good Morning,

The heart is decietful above all things and desperately wicked. (Jeremiah 17.9).  For out of the heart proceeds evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness and blasphemies.  These are things which defile a man. (Matthew 15.19).  A man's heart reveals the man. (Proverbs 27.19).

Jesus said in His sermon on the mount: Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. (Matthew 5.8).  Therefore if we are to be blessed with seeing God, we must purify our hearts (James 4.8), meditate on things that are pure (Philippians 4.8), serve with a good conscience (2 Timothy 1.3), and keep ourself pure. (1 Timothy 5.22).

Departing from God-Jack Blake

Saturday, May 11, 2024

Good Morning,

To depart from God does not change the will of God. To depart from the teachings of Jesus is to depart from the reason for His coming. It is possible for men, even Christians to become weak in their faith and depart from God and return to the world with its wicked ways. Maybe this is why Paul warns, let him who thinks he stands, take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10.12). Paul was aware that even he could be a victim of departing from God, for he said: "I keep under my body and bring it into subjection lest that by any means when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. (1 Corinthians 9.27). Each individual is responsible and shall give an account of himself to God. (Romans 14.12; 2 Corinthians 5.10). Pray this not be the case, examine yourself daily to see if there might be in your heart any signs of weakness that would result in departing from our God. Stand firm on His word, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15.58).

Compromise the Spirit-Jack Blake

Friday, May 10, 2024

Good Morning,

In Judges 21.25, we read "everyone did what was right in his own eyes." And in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 Paul gives warning that in the last days. (in which we are living) perilous times will come: men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, head strong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of GOD, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! Friends and brethren, sin is active and on the move, it is never satisfied. Spiritual compromise always leads to moral corruption.

Father, thank You for Jesus and for Your word. Help Your obedient faithful children to not be deceived by cruel, unfaithful men of this ungodly and perverse generation. Keep us in Your protection, and give us strength to endure the ways of the world. In Jesus name, AMEN

The Children of God-Jack Blake

Tuesday, May 07, 2024

Good Morning,

We are children of God by obedience, we are sons of God by inheritance. We are redeemed, forgiven and God's, own special people, that we may proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of the darkness of sin and into His marvelous light. We were once without mercy, but have now obtained mercy. We are disciples of Christ, we deny self and take up our cross daily to follow Him, His example, and His pattern of living. Whatever we. do in word or deed, we do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father though Him. We are Christians, humans who are fallible, persecuted, and once without hope but now have hope through Jesus the Christ who lovingly gave His life on the cross that we might have remission (forgiveness) of our sins. He laid down His life for us, and we owe our life to Him. Hallelujah what a Savior!!

From 1 Peter 2.9, 10; Matthew 16.24; Colossians 3.17.

Love One Another-Jack Blake

Saturday, April 20, 2024

Good Morning,

To show that we are Christ's disciples, He has commanded us to love one another as He has loved us. (John 13.34,35). Paul tells us to put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness and lonngsuffering; bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another, even as Chris forgave you, so you must also do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your heart, let the word of Christ dwell in you richly. Teach and admonish one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (See Colossians 3.12-17).

What a blessing, what an honor, what a pleasure it is to serve the risen Savior according to His good pleasure.
