The Solid Foundation of God-Jack Blake

Thursday, April 25, 2024

Good Morning,

The solid foundation of God stands. having this seal: "the Lord knows those who are His, and let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity."  Build your faith on the solid rock, Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Be diligent to grow in the grace and knowledge of God the Father and His beloved Son, Jesus the Christ, who has redeemed us from the bondage of sin.  Flee youthful lusts; pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.  Do not now weary in doing good, and contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the Saints.  Build and maintain your faith and trust on the solid rock of God.

Spiritual Growth-Jack Blake

Wednesday, April 24, 2024

Good Morning,

As disciples in Christ, we are to grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To Him be glory both now and forever. Amen. (2 Peter 3.18).  We grow through study of His word, (2 Timothy 2.15) and meditating on things that are true, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4.8). And beside this we are to add to our faith, for scripture says if these things are in us, and abound, they make us that we shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 3.1), and Christ's word will dwell richly in us (Colossians 3.16).

Father, keep us in Your loving care, and help us and guide us to grow in you more and more each day as we travel this pilgrim road to our eternal home with You in heaven. In Jesus name, AMEN.

Forgiving Others-Jack Blake

Tuesday, April 23, 2024

Good Morning, Friends,

According to the scriptures, disciples are to forgive those who trespasses against them, we are to rebuke him and if he repents, forgive him. (Luke 17.3). But what if it is not a brother in Christ?  Well, Jesus is our example, for while He was dying on the cross, He prayed for those who were responsible for His crucifixion, "Forgive them Father, they know not what they do."  And Jesus tells us, "When you pray, if you have anything against anyone forgive them, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses. (Mark 11.25). The disciple is to forbear one another, and forgive one another, if anyone has a quarrel against any; even as Christ forgave you, you must also do. (Colossians 3.13).

Father, we thank you for Your word on which we stand. Help us to forgive and forget things of the past, and remind us daily that we have risen to walk in a new life. Thank You for Jesus in whose name we pray. AMEN

Be Sober, Be Vigilant-Jack Blake

Monday, April 22, 2024

Good Morning

If we, as disciples of Christ, are to stand against the wiles of our adversary, the devil, who walks among us, we must be sober minded and vigilant at all times knowing that we too can be taken in by his lying deceitful ways.  He is always looking for ways to attack not only us but also our children with immoral principals of lustful, fleshly, sinful ideals and passions which war against the soul and can weaken our faith.  Now is the time when we must be bold and courageous humbling ourselves under the mighty hand of God as we fight for our faith fighting not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness in this age and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. (See Ephesians 6.12).  We must be loyal and true to Christ, abhorring all evil and clinging to what is good, not being overcome with evil but always doing what is good.  For whoever rewards evil for good, evil will not depart from his house. (Proverbs 17.13).

Love One Another-Jack Blake

Saturday, April 20, 2024

Good Morning,

To show that we are Christ's disciples, He has commanded us to love one another as He has loved us. (John 13.34,35). Paul tells us to put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness and lonngsuffering; bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another, even as Chris forgave you, so you must also do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your heart, let the word of Christ dwell in you richly. Teach and admonish one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (See Colossians 3.12-17).

What a blessing, what an honor, what a pleasure it is to serve the risen Savior according to His good pleasure.
