Faithfulness
In Good Hands-Keith Greer
Tuesday, July 23, 2024Good Morning,
Life can always show us how sudden things can change in our lives that catch one off guard. We are disappointed that these inconveniences must be endured and accept the changes they will bring into our lives. Yet, please remember some things. God is still with us to bear our burdens, Hebrews 13:5-6; our brethren are always praying for us, James 5:16. When we have these situations it’s a time to allow our faith and trust in Him who can help us through all of our troubles, Romans 8:28. Yes, our plans must change but in a little while they can be fulfilled later. This will presents an opportunity for each of us to step up and help our brother to take care of things he won’t be able to do for little while, Romans 12:15; Galatians 6:9-10. Rest well my brother you are in good hands!
Unity-Jack Blake
Saturday, July 20, 2024Good Morning,
God gave some to be Apostles, some to be Prophets, some to be evangelists, some Pastors, and some teachers, for the perfection of the Saints, for the working of the ministry, for the edifying of the body Christ, which is His church. Ephesians 4.11-12. Although His body is made up of different parts, all of the parts are to work together in unity, being of the sane mind and speaking the same thing so there is no division among us Jesus prayed for unity John 17.11,John 17.20-21.
Tempted and tried-Jack Blake
Friday, July 19, 2024Good Morning,
Only those who endure temptation when he is tried will receive the promised crown of life which has been promised to those who love God and His beloved Son, Jesus the Christ. But as the world goes, disciples sometimes like to say that it is God who tempts them. But this is just a lie for it is written that God cannot be tempted with evil, nor does He tempt anyone. Do we not understand that we are tempted when we withdraw from God by our own lusts; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life, and when lust is conceived it brings sin; and sin when it is finished brings us spiritual death? WE as disciples must be careful not to err when we are tempted and tried. My thoughts from James 12:16. Thanks for reading.
Trust in the Lord-Jack Blake
Thursday, July 18, 2024Good Morning,
TRUST in the Lord with all your heart, and LEAN NOT on your own understanding; in all your ways ACKNOWLEDGE Him, and He shall DIRECT your paths. DO NOT be WISE in your own eyes. FEAR the Lord and DEPART FROM EVIL. It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones. HONOR the Lord with your POSSESSIONS and with the FIRSTFRUITS of your increase. Proverbs 3.5-9. LOVE the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. SEEK First His Kingdom, and HIS righteousness. Matthew 22.38, Matthew 6.33. STOP ANGERING THE LORD. He is your CREATOR, SUSTAINER of your life and YOUR SALVATION.
Cost of discipleship-Jack Blake
Tuesday, July 09, 2024Good Morning,
We must, according to the scriptures, consider the cost of discipleship. For if we do not bear His cross and follow after Him, we cannot be His disciple. See Luke 14. 25-30. Temptations are raging around us in this perverse, crooked and adulterous generation in which we live. Taking up our cross daily to follow Christ means we must know and do His commandments. John 14.15. Repentance of our sins is ongoing and ever present in our lives. It is easy enough say the words, Lord I have sinned, please forgive me this sin, or something similar and then continue to live in this same sin. True repentance is first recognizing and confessing our sins, ask for the Lord's forgiveness and then turning from those sins never to indulge in them again. The Christian life, the determination to take up our cross and follow Him, is not an easy life, but true repentance comes from a good, honest, and faithful heart, then the Lord will be faithful to forgive us our sins. With God all things are possible, and He has promised to never leave nor forsake us. Mark 10.27; Hebrews 13.5.
